Symbol Libraries User Manual Introduction Presentation drawings are as important as any other drawings produced in the drafting office. They generally comprise the most effective visual communication link between the professional and the client. Vehicles and figures are used in architectural illustration not to decorate, but to indicate over-all scale, create an appropriate mood and to subtly direct the viewer's eye to the principal point of attention. Introducing familiar objects imparts a feeling of relevance and an element of human scale that is impossible to communicate in any other way. Accessories should complement the architectural intention, not compete with it for the viewer's attention. AZCAD Drawing Libraries provide modular collections of drawings of related groups of vehicles and accessories. Each Library module is supplied as a number of drawing files together with menus for AutoCAD and IntelliCAD and LISP and DCL program files which will work with both applications. All files are unencrypted and may be edited and re-organised as desired. The manual is designed to be complete for all Library modules as they may be released by AZCAD from time to time. In designing the format of the libraries, we have taken a middle line in considering the conservation of disk space and keeping file management simple. Each library drawing is an orthographic view (ie: front, side or rear elevation, or plan). Many of the drawings contain common block definitions. The drawings have been inserted as blocks into a composite Drawing Library file. You are at liberty to combine the blocks into larger composite Library files, break the main files into smaller libraries or to store blocks as individual drawing files, as you prefer. The vehicles selected for inclusion in the libraries are illustrated as generic types. No attempt has been made to use any specific manufacturer's silhouette or details. Each of the vehicles are drawn as a typical representative of its class, reasonably describing the height, width, wheelbase and generic styling. You are free to alter, add to or delete from any view to suit your particular purpose. © Copyright 1988-2000 AZCAD All Rights Reserved No part of this publication shall be reproduced in any form, by any method, for any purpose save one copy viewed on a browser and printed for the explicit referral of a licensed user of the software.
